I enjoy writing weekly about my personal adventures, projects, client work and random things I find interesting! I love to interact with the community and encourage conversation and welcome questions!! Thank you for being here!!

Waterfalls, warm sun & road trippin.

As promised, I’m excited to put together a blog about our girl’s weekend to Grand Junction! Film scans arrived yesterday, so here we go!

We were SO fortunate in this typical time of unpredictable weather in Colorado, to have a beautiful forecast of mid 70’s for our trip west! We had planned to go to the falls and do other various outdoor adventures, so this worked beautifully!

It took an hour to get to the falls, 20 minutes of which was spent on beautiful back roads. The terrain changed from the more dessertish /mesa filled geography to more of a hilly and green scene. It was a fun change of pace!

We pulled into the park, paid our entry fee, and made the short walk to the falls. When they came into sight I was enamored at how beautiful they were!! It seemed to appear out of nowhere, and was a sight so different than everything around it! Caves, water and lush green blanketed the area!

The pictures say way more than I could about the location!!

We were able to hike up behind the falls, as well as around the outside until we reached the top, and where able to get a different perspective of the falls, and also explore some deep caves!

A couple more shots, just for the sheer beauty of it all.

As you may have gathered, we didn’t only visit the falls. :-) We had a grand time thrifting, eating good food, hanging out at Gabby’s place and the hot tub at the hotel, and driving through the monument!

Well, that about wraps it up! We had an amazing trip, shot lots of fun images, and saw something new! I’m always excited to make the trip out to see Gab, and get some undivided mom/daughter reconnect time. Having Farron along for the adventure this time made even MORE special!!

Thank you for enjoying the ride with me!

Until next week…
