Shahzad

You are in for a treat this week, I present to you, my friend Shahzad. Legit, we have such a creative connection it’s crazy. We shot for 3 hours straight, neither one of us tiring of what we were making. Location after location became our new playground and a feast for the eyes.

Shahzad is a professional model, among other talents, AND, a #1 father! I am so flattered that he chose me to work with! We set out to create some magic to spruce up his current portfolio and found that our passion for creating is mutual, which made the time we spent together fly by. He chose the location, and what a location it was! All the lines, angles, colors and reflections had me reveling in the greatness of it all! Put a striking man in the midst of it, plus two people with creative vision, and boom, you have a recipe for success!

And now, the reason you stopped by…the session.

“The game is my drug.” Gary Vaynerchuk

Passion, extreme passion is something that oozes from his every pore.

We started shooting at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. The architecture is spectacular and provided a really REALLY stunning backdrop to work with! (click on each image to view full size)

When I found my way out of the parking garage and walked into this beautiful open space, my jaw dropped. I have been here before multiple times, but I wasn’t thinking in terms of what this could provide as a photographic canvas. It was remarkable.

Never settle for anything less than your best.

This is definitely the motto that Shahzad lives by. A man with a mission for success and mastery… all while being kind and lifting up others in the process.

Within the DPA, there were corners, walls, windows and overlooks that all caught my eye and kept us busy for quite some time, just within a small radius.

The goal of our session together was to grab some editorial / commercial style images, as well as some that may be more off the wall, not for any reason in particular that just seeking out that creative freedom we both crave.

Next on our list was to hit the art district. I must say, I was not disappointed in the least and somewhat enthralled with all the different types of beauty that I was able to experience there!

Now that we got all the “serious” stuff out of the way, what you may not realize from these images, is that Shahzad is a super spontaneous, bubbly, elevated spirit and this session proves the skill he has in bringing his A-game when needed! Below, a few outtakes!! lol

We wrapped things up and headed our separate ways, but not for long. Already putting another session on the calendar, I am super pumped to get back out there and make the day come alive again with the dynamic, direction and setting we find ourselves in!

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing in my journey! Reach out if you see something you want to chat about, ask a question about, or make a comment about! I love connecting with people beyond just a click of the “like” button!

Until next week….
