Seniors, you are more than just a head shot!
It is that time of year again where incoming high school seniors get to have their moment in the spotlight! They are so full of joy going into this final year of high school, and full of excitement for what await them after graduation. I love the contagious energy they exude, and hearing their dreams as we wander to capture who they are.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with getting a traditional portrait taken! These are a beautiful reminder of how we look on the outside and shine at this pivotal stage in life. I DO incorporate more “traditional” shots into my session as well, naturally, but in this blog entry I want to emphasize that there can be so much more to your session!
Having raised two daughters, I saw first hand how each child will represent themselves differently, has different hopes and passions as well a spaces and places they love. Knowing this fact, is precisely why, after we get the shots we “need” (yearbook, grandparents wishes, etc…) we go play. We discover YOU, in your own world with different settings and elements that can highlight who you are in spirit as well as how you look on the outside!
Within a small area, we found a wonderful variety of places to tuck into, to capture Melissa feeling at home!
You may love to
climb mountains…
…or you may love to explore, or sit by a lake…
I have worked with teens that have a huge variety of interests! Music, sports, nature, climbing, books….you name it!
You can be silly..
…and also have a more serious side!
I hope that you have seen through these brief glimpses into what a senior session could be, encourages you to get out and show the world that you are more than just a pretty face! LetS feel the emotion, see parts of your soul and live the moment right along side you when viewing your session!
THESE types of photos, photos that are full of feeling, make a much longer lasting impact on those who love and care about you!!
