Caitlyn - A session share!
I first met Caity about 4 years ago, and when I was recently given the opportunity to be her photographer for her senior portraits, I was super pumped. I couldn’t wait to see the young lady she had become.
I sat outside Union Station on a gorgeous Sunday morning waiting for her to arrive. I didn’t recognize her at first when she came striding up to me. This adorable and petite young lady, with an air of confidence, style, and a super fantastic 70’s shag haircut, walked up with a smile on her face. So grown up compared to the young girl I had met so long ago!
We started outside for a few “warm up” shots, that she actually didn’t even need lol, but we did it nonetheless. Something to get the nerves out is always the best way to begin!
As per my preferred way of working, we made our way around the vicinity, stopping wherever it felt right.
I told Caity when I sent her the album to see, there are only a select few sessions that REALLY stand out in my memory. Don’t get me wrong, I love ALL my sessions, but some have that little extra something that make them highly memorable. This was one of those sessions. Caitlyn was fantastic in front of the camera and a joy to spend time with.
I am going to share some of my favorites. I will try to not overshare, but I probably will anyway.
What do you think?
I sat on this session a few days, then went back to it. Sometimes we need to step away to see if we are feeling infatuation that would fade, but it didn’t fade. It only grew stronger, and I knew we nailed it.
Caitlyn, I loved our conversation, learning more about some of your goals for the future, laughing with you at silly things we did and creating some memories that I hope you and your family will always cherish. When I described you to my friends (I love talking about my sessions), the best word I could find was lovely, you are truly a lovely human being. You will go far, and be a huge success with the attitude and confidence that you exude. On top of it, you are kind. You are a winner. <3
Thank you for letting me share this moment with you all who stop by to read! Leave a comment, tell me if you have a favorite image!! I’m always curious!!
Until next time… love and health to all!!
