Achievement!
How many times do we go through big, life changing events in our time on this earth? I’d say we don’t have these big events often! Graduating from college is a HUGE milestone, and definitely a time of life to celebrate! Being independent, finding your own path in this life, and getting set to make your mark on the world, couldn’t be more exciting! I am always thrilled when I get to revisit the grad session, for those young men and women who have just completed another academic milestone!
Maysie and her family have has been a part of my, and my daughter’s life for many years. Maysie is one smart cookie, has a solid head on her shoulders and is an incredible inspiration to me, and to those that know her! I have wanted to work with her for a long time and I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph her confidence and beauty.
I have blogged about the importance of capturing those milestones that we all go through from birth. Firsts! First bike ride, first cake, first day at school…but I think that this particular milestone might be overlooked sometimes, just because we aren’t kids anymore. This couldn’t be a more fitting time to capture you, and who you are at THIS juncture in your beautiful life, just as it is important as all those “little kid” firsts!!
So there you have it, my photographer’s PSA, remember those things in life that are important to you, are worth documenting! Maysie will be able to look back at these in many years, and celebrate her start into this next chapter, and remember what it took to get here!
