Another version of distance photo shoots...
Take Two!
My first take on the virtual photo shoot, was one where I used my film camera to photograph the screens during a zoom call! That turned out really cool and I’m glad that I shot both the Polaroid as well as the 35mm camera to get something a little different than I was seeing out there! If you want to see the results from that shoot, scroll down to “Tried something new…” to see images and hear my thoughts!
A lot of the photographers I have seen doing the Facetime shoots are doing it a with screen photos during the calI. I decided to try it last night, just with my phone, just to see how they would turn out, as well as see how different it would be from the sessions I did before! There have been some INCREDIBLE shoots coming from these, of families, couples, models….and it adds a whole new layer of direction to really get that shot you want! They leave me SO inspired!
We spent about 5 minutes as I moved her around quickly to test this out! I appreciate her humoring me this evening!! lol
This was definitely a different experience and I LOVED it! I was doing a screen shot through my phone so the resolution is not great. I decided to throw a little “grain” on the image and boom, lookin better! I have learned a couple tips from other photogs about how to get better quality images from these sessions! I am even thinking these may be a great thing to continue to perfect, even AFTER the stay at home is lifted!! Definitely a way to work with your favorite photographer, in a little different capacity!!
If you have any of your own experiences with these, I’d love to chat! I have seen a lot of different versions of these shoots and am loving the creativity of the photographers! They are out there doing this as a part of their business, which is so awesome for the customer who wants to document something special right now, and great for the photographer to be able to provide something of value to keep some income during the times when we can’t physically meet! You all are amazing!
Until next time!
