Dominic - Senior Share!

Dominck

When I was talking with Dom’s mom prior to us meeting up, she mentioned that he would prefer the focus of his senior session be more “lifestyle” shots, with a few portraits scattered in. Dom is a stellar athlete, and his athletics is a big part of what he loves in life and excels at! You know me, I was all in!! We layed out a plan to capture his sports of competitive running and mountain biking as the main event, and then be sure to get some portraits since, of course, us moms and dads crave those of our young adult children who are about to fly the nest!

We met at the trail where Dominic rides a lot, just after sunrise to avoid crowds, and started laying out our plan. We started with portraits, you know, hair…, and then moved to the meat of the session.

I will just unveil the results below, to showcase this exemplary young man.

We hiked a ways to get to the cool spots. The day was perfect, and we had plenty of time and space to show off his skills and get the images he could be excited about, as a memory of his high school years.

Next, we moved to running!

I hadn’t seen Dominic since he was a toddler. Meeting him again as a young adult, one with a kind personality, thoughtfulness, and a serious work ethic, was so rewarding from my perspective. One may not realize that I DO feel a sense of connection with the people I work with. It’s one of the thing I really enjoy about what I do. I mean, making meaningful images for my clients, that I know they will cherish forever, is the biggest reward, but I feel like I walk away with renewed connections, or new friends. I love this…a lot.

I will wrap this up with two final images from our session, that made me happy. Dom, it was such fun to see you as a young man! I was impressed by many parts of “you”, from your vision, to your ability to communicate what you wanted, to your response to the session in addition to your mom’s!! Truly, I will repeat this description because I feel it describes you well, you are exemplary.

Thank you for tuning in this week! Seniors are wrapping up which always makes me sad, but on the flip side makes me so appreciative that I get to meet and work with these fine individuals.

If you ever want to look at past blogs that I have shared, I have a “blog archive” section in the menu bar! Sometimes it’s fun to look back!!

Health and love to all!!
